I'm always looking for snack great recipes that give a powerful punch of nutrition in my day.
This delicious granola recipe is loaded with three super power seeds, Hemp, Flax, and Chia. The reason they are considered super foods is because of their amazing health benefits. Hemp is an excellent protein full of omegas and crucial amino acids and easily digestible protein. Flax seed are rich in lignin's and omega-3 fatty acids and have proven to prevent cancer a heart disease. Chia seeds are a great source of fiber, omegas, and proteins. Did you know that Chia seeds prevent dehydration? The Aztec warriors would put chia seeds under their tongues to prevent dehydration during their trek across the dessert.
• 3 c. of crisp brown rice cereal
• 3 c. gluten free-rolled oats
• 1/2 c. hemp hearts (shelled seeds)
• 1/2 c. brown flax seeds
• 1/4 c. chia seeds
• 1/2 tsp. brown rice syrup
• 2 T. flax oil (or other oil)
• 2 full droppers of 250mg CBD Oil
• 1 T. molasses
• 1/2 T. vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 275. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the wet ingredients. Heat the wet ingredients in the microwave for about 1-2 minutes. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and thoroughly combine. Divide the mixture between the two baking sheets and spread out evenly. Bake the granola for 45 minutes, switching shelves for each sheet. (placing the sheet from the top shelf on the lower shelf and vice versa). Once it's done, let cool complete before transferring an air tight container.
